But don't you think that we helped create the terrorists that are now in Iraq? If we leave they sort of run out of fodder because their beef isn't with the Iraqi's, it's with us, the infidel invaders.

I agree that there will be a bloody civil war and that it would be terrible to leave millions to that fate. But, look at Bosnia, there are still peacekeepers there. Where will it end?

This is exactly why Bush 1 (And Clinton to a certain extent) didn't go in. There is no way out.

I totally agree with Nancy Pelosi's statement.

Iraq was full of terrorists before we ever got in there. The whole middle east is full of them. I watched a thing on the news the other night that showed how hated we are and how Islam wants to rule the world.

My friend's son, who died in Iraq, said that another generation of haters is coming up. He was in a very bad part of Iraq and he said the kids would throw rocks at them. On the other hand, there were also many people coming up to them and thanking them for being there and doing what they are doing. The kids who throw rocks are learning from their terrorist fathers, so here comes another generation. They're not going anywhere...but they will attack us again and if that's putting fear into the American public, then so be it. We can't keep our heads in the sand anymore and act like these people are civilized. They are not. They want us dead and maybe if we stay the course an impact can be made over in Iraq, but we cannot give up. If we pull out now, they will say they won, and they will not stop plotting against us. They will come after us.

They listen to how divided Americans are over this war and that emboldens them. They hear Americans spew their hatred for President Bush and that emboldens them. My friend's son died from a napalm bomb, doing what he believed in. And it would be WRONG to just give up, pull out and run off because far too many lives of our brave young men have been lost. If we pulled out now, then the lives of our fallen soldiers would have been for nothing. And you think people are mad now? Just wait until that happens and you'll see some very pissed off people.

Iraq was not full of terrorists before we came. The terrorists are Islamic fundamentalists; Saddam is a strong secularist, and kept the fundamentalist movement under strict control while he was in power.

We are drawing terrorists to their country and using it as a shooting gallery, and thousands of innocent people are getting hurt in the crossfire. I would not blame them for all hating us.

Are the oil wells producing? Is there electricity 24 hours a day? Are people able to carry on normal lives without fear?

We are not doing anything for those people. We are using them. Most of them want us out.

Their reasons for hating us have nothing to do with our being over there.
